Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, in the famous "Manifesto del Futurismo" published on "Le Figaro" in 1909, expressed the tendences of his contemporary society and he previewed our present time: the frenetic and incoscousness technological evolution, the glorification of the military armies and the inavitability of the war, the myth of velocity, the destruction of the knowledges and the cancellation of the past. You can recognize the effects of this way of thinking in daily life. Faces and gestures of the people around us in the streets are signed by the effects of this new society. Walking around Milan, I tried to capture the "crossing lives" in the reflections on the tram windows and bus stop glass structures. All the strangers in these images are unaware pieces of a "puzzle of lives" in wich every element is intertwined and in dialogue with each other. The people I shoot turn in to characters of unlikely but possible stories, a display of common sufferings. These pictures are not double exposures or photoshop creations, these are only reflections captured in one shot.

Marinetti, nel "Manifesto del Futurismo", con chiarezza e lucidità, ha espresso le tendenze della società del momento e previsto il nostro brutto presente: la frenetica e dissennata rincorsa tecnologica, la glorificazione della guerra e del militarismo, il mito della velocità, la distruzione della cultura, dei musei e delle accademie. E’ impossibile non vedere gli effetti tangibili di questi modelli di pensiero nella vita quotidiana. I gesti e i volti della gente per strada portano incisi i segni di questa nuova società. Nel mio girovagare per Milano ho cercato di fotografare “l'incrocio di vite” che si realizza nei riflessi dei vetri dei mezzi pubblici e delle fermate dei tram (non sono doppie esposizioni o fotomontaggi). I passanti che ho ritratto sono ignari pezzi di un puzzle di vite che si intersecano e si compenetrano dialogando inconsapevolmente tra di loro. Diventano così protagonisti di storie improbabili ma possibili, uno specchio di sofferenze comuni, l’icona della Milano di oggi.
