The show ends, the applause start and the protagonist finally takes off the mask. It reveals the face of a man of 83 years, the tousled hair, a hand that tidies it up, a smile and a bow. For over 52 years Ferruccio Soleri wearing one of the world's most famous colorful costume: Harlequin. The eyes, the wrinkles and the face of the actor hide behind that mask. Man and character, reality and fiction, he lives this alternation almost every day of his life. Hidden among the colored diamonds is the man who has dedicated his life to the Piccolo Teatro of Milan and to the most prestigious theaters in the world. With more than 2,000 performances in 40 countries in the historic play of Carlo Goldoni, directed by Giorgio Strehler "Harlequin, Servant of Two Masters", Ferruccio Soleri entered in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest theater performance in the same role.
In these photos, for the first time in his career, he decided to show the most intimate aspect of the man beyond the mask.
This work become a big exhibiton hosted for one month in the two floors of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano.
